General & Service Area

E2 Technologies designs, installs, and supports home security, smart home automation, and energy management systems for homeowners and businesses. Our systems are powered by Alarm.com, so you can control security, locks, cameras, climate, and energy from a single app on your phone, tablet, or computer.

We are headquartered in Garner, NC and serve Garner, Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill, Fayetteville, Spring Lake, Lillington, and Charlotte. If you are near one of these areas and not sure whether we cover you, call us at 919-306-1230 and we will confirm.

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Security systems with professional monitoring are monitored 24/7 — so if your alarm triggers at 2am on a Sunday, a trained professional still dispatches help.

Yes. E2 Technologies is a veteran- and minority-owned local business based in Garner, NC. We are a proud member of the Garner Chamber of Commerce, Choose Local & Small Y'all, and the Triangle Area Network Group, and an authorized Alarm.com service provider.

Security Systems

A typical system includes a control panel, door and window sensors on ground-floor entry points, motion detectors, a loud siren, and 24/7 professional monitoring. You can add glass-break sensors, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, water leak sensors, and freeze sensors based on your home and needs. Every system is custom-designed during a free consultation.

When an alarm triggers, a signal is sent to a 24/7 monitoring center. A trained professional verifies the event and contacts the correct emergency service — police, fire, or medical — then calls you to confirm. You never have to be home, awake, or near your phone for help to be dispatched.

Your security system does not depend on your internet. Alarm.com panels communicate over a dedicated cellular connection, so a cut cable, internet outage, or power loss will not take down your security. This is standard on every system we install.

This depends on the package you choose. We will explain the ownership and monitoring terms clearly during your free quote so there are no surprises. Call 919-306-1230 to discuss the option that fits your home and budget.

Yes. Through the Alarm.com app you can arm and disarm your system, check sensor status, receive instant alerts, and create smart rules — for example, automatically arming the system when the last person leaves the house using geofencing.

Cameras & Smart Home

We install doorbell cameras, outdoor cameras, and indoor cameras. Our cameras include video analytics that distinguish a person from a passing car, an animal, or blowing branches — so you get meaningful alerts instead of constant false alarms. You can view live video and recorded clips from the Alarm.com app.

Yes. A video doorbell camera lets you see, hear, and speak with whoever is at your door from your phone, whether you are at work or out of town. You also get motion-triggered clips and a record of package deliveries.

Smart locks, smart thermostats, smart lighting, automated shades, garage door controls, and water leak sensors are all common additions. Because everything runs through Alarm.com, you can create scenes and rules — for example, a single tap to lock all doors, close the garage, adjust the thermostat, and arm the system.

Smart locks run on batteries, so they keep working during a power outage. Your Alarm.com hub uses cellular backup, so you can still lock and unlock remotely. We will recommend the right lock for your door during your consultation.

No. One of the main benefits of an Alarm.com-powered system is that all your devices — security, cameras, locks, thermostat, lights — live in a single app. No juggling a dozen apps for a dozen devices.

Energy & Thermostats

A smart thermostat learns your schedule and adjusts automatically — raising the temperature when you leave and cooling down before you return, instead of conditioning an empty house. Setting your thermostat just 3-4 degrees higher when you are away can save up to 10% on cooling costs over the summer, and the thermostat does this for you.

Yes. From the Alarm.com app you can adjust your home temperature from anywhere, set schedules, and receive alerts if the indoor temperature drops below a safe level — useful for preventing frozen pipes in winter.

Yes. Alarm.com includes an energy dashboard that shows your real-time usage, sends alerts if consumption spikes unexpectedly, and tracks your usage over time so you can see the impact of changes you make.

Installation & Support

It starts with a free consultation — we assess your home, listen to your concerns, and recommend a system. Once you approve the design, we schedule professional installation, handle all the mounting, wiring, and configuration, and walk you through how to use the Alarm.com app before we leave.

We recommend professional installation to make sure sensors are placed correctly, the system is configured properly, and monitoring is active. DIY installation often leaves gaps in coverage. Our team has the experience to get it right the first time.

Possibly — it depends on the equipment. Call us at 919-306-1230 with details about your current system and we will let you know whether we can take it over or service it.

For system-down or safety issues, call 919-306-1230 directly — it is faster than a ticket. For everything else, you can submit a support ticket from our Support page and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.

We stand behind our work. Warranty terms depend on the equipment and package, and we will explain them clearly during your quote. If something is not working as it should, contact us and we will make it right.

Billing & Account

You can pay invoices and manage your account through our online billing portal at e2ti.alarmbiller.com. The portal is separate from your Alarm.com app.

Use the Alarm.com app on your phone, or visit alarm.com/login.aspx on a computer. Your login is set up during installation. If you have trouble signing in, submit a support ticket and we will help.

Call us at 919-306-1230 or submit a support ticket. Keeping your emergency contacts current with the monitoring center is important so the right people are reached when an alarm triggers.
